VIEW ALLThe Denmead Practice – Update regarding Dr Saville
We would like to inform you that Dr Saville has made the difficult decision to retire at the end of March.
After joining the Practice in 2017, Dr Saville has been an integral part of the practice – supporting us through Covid and some very difficult times, and subsequently taking on the role of Senior Partner early last year.
We will be very sorry to lose him as a Partner, but he will be coming back to help us with locum cover in the coming months, so you will continue to see him around the practice.
Following on from this, we are however very pleased that Dr Cordelia Evelyn-Edwards will be joining us as a Salaried GP in April. Dr Evelyn-Edwards will be familiar to many patients as she has been a regular locum here over the past few years (she was actually one of Dr Saville’s trainees before she qualified!)
There will be a few other changes within the team meaning that not all of Dr Saville’s patients will be transferred across to Dr Evelyn-Edwards, we will endeavour to let all those patients affected by the change know as soon as possible who their registered GP will be.
A book will be available in the waiting room for patients who wish to write a message for Dr Saville. Whilst we know he will be missed by many, please can we respectfully ask that patients do not book appointments to see him to wish him well – it is important that we use these slots appropriately and ensure patients who have health concerns are seen in them.
We appreciate that for some patients this will be their second or third change of Doctor in a relatively short time, and we apologise for this – we wish our doctors didn’t have to retire!
