Appointments 023 9223 9630 and select option 1 or book yourself via the NHS App

All consultations are by appointment only – call between 8.00am-12.30pm & 1.30pm-6.30pm Monday to Friday.

Surgery times are 8.30am to 11.00am & 3.30pm to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.


Hambledon surgery – (023) 9263 2453

Surgeries are held at our branch surgery three mornings a week from 8.30am-10.00am for patients who have requested that their medical records are held there, or for patients living in Hambledon who need to be seen urgently. No appointment is necessary. However, please be aware that during the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no GP at Hambledon. We will continue to have a Receptionist there to deal with queries and for you to order and collect medications

Monday mornings are always the busiest; please avoid phoning the surgery at this time unless it is urgent.

If you work, we do have pre-bookable appointments up until 7.40pm on Mondays and Tuesdays

The surgery is closed at weekends although you can now choose an evening or weekend appointment at one of five NHS hub sites in the area. Full details are available at the Surgery or via the following link.

Many of our appointments are now available to book and cancel online. Please speak to a receptionist to obtain your log in details or simply download the NHS App

For continuity of care we prefer you to see your usual doctor, unless in an emergency or during his/her absence. Children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.

If you require a chaperone during your consultation please inform reception when booking your appointment.

Urgent cases will always been seen on the same day. Please make it clear to the receptionist if your problem requires immediate attention.

Appointments with the GPs and Practice Nurses can be booked up to 3 weeks in advance. Please let us know if you are unable to attend your appointment so that we can offer it to someone else.

Following feedback from patients, we wanted to inform you that we offer 10 minute appointment slots with the GP. This is considered nationally to be sufficient time for the patient and GP to be able to discuss an individual health problem.

Unfortunately it is not possible for your GP to discuss a list of problems in one appointment and you may be asked to make a further appointment to discuss subsequent issues.

Your GP is not being unkind or unhelpful by asking you to come back – they need to offer sufficient appointments to be able to cope with demand, and are also aware that other patients are waiting to be seen.

The Doctor does not always know what is going to be presented to them when they telephone a patient or a patient enters their consulting room: there will be times when even one health issue requires more than a 10 minute appointment – therefore we apologise if your GP is not running to time.

There will also be occasions when your GP will be dealing with an emergency – either in the practice or at a patient’s home. Should this be the case the receptionist will make you aware that there is likely to be a delay.
